Clay Hill Farm is an upscale dining restaurant and banquet facility on a sprawling country setting in Cape Neddick/York, Maine just two miles west of oceanfront Ogunquit. The first restaurant in the country to be certified and congratulated by the National Wildlife Association as a natural habitat and bird sanctuary, Clay Hill Farm can offer couples an exclusive wedding ceremony & Reception amidst colorful gardens, lavish lawns and protected woodlands. In March of this year, Clay Hill Farm was certified as a Maine state Environmental Leader for its long-standing commitment to protecting the natural beauty and resources of Maine along with initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
The restaurant at Clay Hill Farm can seat up to 220 guests. With an emphasis on fresh, local and seasonal products along with professional service specialists, the restaurant has been the recipient of numerous local, regional and national awards for food and service. Most recently, Clay Hill Farm was voted #1 in York County’s BEST of the BEST for ‘Best Place for a Wedding Reception’, ‘Best Caterer’ and “Most Romantic Restaurant”. With modern cuisine, a classic country setting and over 20 years in the wedding industry, Clay Hill Farm is able to offer every couple an experience that transcends the Reception.
Clay Hill Farm is committed to offering the very best in food and service. Complete privacy is enhanced by the undivided attention of our award-winning staff. Private use of the grounds, interior set-up, valet service, professional coordination (private tours, detailed meeting and follow-up, on-site rehearsal if applicable and event-day coordination), and a six-hour Reception, are only part of what our services include.
Our minimum for a daytime Reception, 10:00-4:30 PM, is 75 on Saturday, and 50 on Sunday. The facility charge is $500 for a daytime event in 2008.
Because the restaurant would close to the public for your exclusive event, evening Receptions require an income guarantee for food and beverage in lieu of a facility charge. In other words, Clay Hill Farm is guaranteed the income it would have brought in from food and beverage had the restaurant been open to the public. Income guarantees are date specific and vary according to season. Saturday evening Reception hours are 6PM-Midnight. Friday and Sunday evening Reception hours are flexible. Saturday on-site evening ceremonies would begin at 6:30 PM. Friday and Sunday evening ceremony times are flexible.
