An Amazing Team

The restaurant at Clay Hill Farm has a fabulously versatile team of chefs at the helm, steering the menu toward a delicious Maine experience, complete with local artistic expression and seasonal flavor. Traditional meats, poultry, sustainable fish and seafood grace the menu, with accents and ingredients from local growers and Clay Hill’s backyard garden. With a passion for artistic presentation, each dish on the menu prompts a picture with the hashtag. #ExperienceClayHillFarm. Made in Maine specials, gluten-free options and vegetarian offerings play a part in the seasonal menu that honors traditional favorites, with flair. Tourists and locals, alike, can enjoy the flavor-fresh beauty of Maine served by an award-winning staff.

Environmental Leadership

Since it’s certification as one of the first businesses in Southern Maine to receive the Environmental Leader accreditation by the Maine DEP, Clay Hill Farm has been known for its commitment to raise environmental awareness through social initiatives. Home of the Green Wedding Giveaway, a fabulous 5-year wedding contest that encouraged couples to explore the parallel between a commitment to each other and a commitment to the Earth. Clay Hill Farm rewarded six outstanding couples that made a difference in the world with their everyday commitments, a complete summer, all-inclusive, Maine wedding. Celebrating the natural beauty of relationships, giving back to each other, the community, the environment and the arts, is at the heart of Clay Hill Farm’s social outreach. Seasonal festivals, artist outreach initiatives, FREE summer eco-events for children that celebrate nature’s Big Backyard, have all been a part of Clay Hill Farm’s passion for outreach.

Through the Years

Built in 1780, Clay Hill Farm was an original working farm complete with an iconic Big Red barn. The classic New England barn blends the rustic history of functionality with the strength of historical beauty. The nature trails in Clay Hill Farm’s sanctuary have a history all their own. Children’s birdhouses stand tall from past outreach programs, birdhouses memorializing loved ones of loyal Clay Hill diners and wedding couples through the years can be found throughout the sanctuary. A pond full of colorful Lilli pads, frogs and fish, start the journey through the nature paths to the fairy meadow, where “Fairy Houses”, organic homes for fairies, have been built by local children throughout the summer. Recently our Fairy Meadow has been opened up for events, festivals, food trucks and retreats for groups that prefer a more DIY vibe.
