Crab Stuffed Haddock

We attended the Christmas Carol one-man fantastic show, and my entree' was the crab-stuffed haddock. It was so delicious. It was moist, hot, and very satisfying. We'll be returning for another show in February, and it will be very tempting to order it again!!

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts

I'm not sure which brussels sprouts they were, but they had the maple mustard glaze and oh my gosh.. they were out of this WORLD. Hubby & I came from Massachusetts and try the brussels sprouts anywhere we go, and these blow any other recipe we've tried out of the water. In fact, we already plan on coming back just for those.. and of course the romantic date night in the igloos!! 10/10 recommend as well as the Salmon and Caesar salad. This place knows what they're doing and the definition of farm fresh!!

Pan Seared Haddock

This place did an absolute, fabulous job hosting my husband and I. We got married this year, in June of 2025. To celebrate our 5 month anniversary, we went to Clay Hill. From the quiet, peaceful atmosphere, to the romantic piano music, this place was the absolute best choice to celebrate our 5 month! The waitress took my gluten allergy very seriously. The fish was cooked perfectly, flakey, moist, and flavorful. The fish tasted so fresh too. I find it hard as a Celiac to eat out, but Clay Hill cooked my fish safely (free from gluten) and I highly recommend it if you have an allergy or not. They have many other gluten free options as well. So impressed!!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Award-Winning Lobster Bisque

The ambience, service and food is top quality. We travel to Maine at least six or more times a year. Each time we visit we must visit Clay Hill.

Award-Winning Lobster Bisque

This wasn't merely a soup; it was the ocean's evening prayer captured in a porcelain bowl. The color is a velvet sunrise—a deep, glowing apricot that hints at the richness within. With the first spoonful, the texture is a silken ghost, disappearing instantly but leaving behind a haunting, buttery warmth.

Seared Halibut

Melt in your mouth selivious, rich buttery. Seasoned perfectly. Simply the best I ever ate. Cooked perfectly. So good I had it two nights later.

Pork Ramen Noodle Bowl review by Neaton23

We love going to Clay Hill Farm and trying out their new dishes every season. You used to be able to get a duck entree and add on the duck leg confit which was the best part! So it was awesome to see they offer an entree version of the leg confit. It was so delicious! We will be back again.

Duck Leg Confit

From the moment I stepped into Clay Hill Farm, I was transported into a cozy, historic farmhouse that perfectly balances rustic charm with elegant sophistication. The warm, inviting ambiance immediately set the tone for a truly memorable dining experience. The Lobster Bisque was a revelation. Rich and velvety, each spoonful delivered a perfect balance of creamy texture and delicate lobster flavor. This was better than any bisque I've ever tasted, leaving a lasting impression that lingered long after the last sip. Equally remarkable was the Duck Confit. Expertly cooked, the duck was tender and succulent. The accompanying seasonal sides complemented the dish flawlessly, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to locally-sourced, high-quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation. Service throughout the evening was impeccable --- attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. Every detail, from recommendations to timing of courses, reflected the high standards Clay Hill Farm consistently delivers. Overall, the dining experience at Clay Hill Farm exceeded every expectation. The combination of exceptional food, meticulous service, and the enchanting ambiance creates a setting that feels both special and unforgettable. It is a restaurant that not only honors Maine's rich culinary heritage but elevates it to an extraordinary level. I can wholeheartedly say it is one of the finest dining experiences I have ever had.

Wild Mushroom Risotto review by Meeghan Sheckler

?[?]?[?]?[?]?[?]?[?] A Perfect Fall Dinner at Clay Hill Farm We had a truly wonderful dinner at Clay Hill Farm! It was the perfect fall evening --- cozy, colorful, and with a beautiful view from our table overlooking the burning bush and a few playful squirrels feeding outside our window. We started with the Traditional Shrimp Cocktail, which featured four jumbo, incredibly fresh shrimp served with classic cocktail sauce and lemon --- simple and delicious. We also ordered the Fried Brussels Sprouts with maple--mustard glaze and spiced almonds, and they were the perfect fall appetizer. I hope they stay on the menu because they were absolutely fantastic! For the main course, I had the Butcher's Cut --- a tender, perfectly cooked filet mignon. I substituted the green beans for the basil polenta cake, which was so flavorful, and the sour cream and chive smashed potatoes were just amazing. To finish off the meal, we shared the Chocolate Oblivion, a flourless chocolate torte with raspberry coulis. It was rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet ending to an exceptional meal. As someone who eats gluten-free, I was thrilled with how accommodating the menu was. They even brought out rice wafers for me when the rest of the table was served rolls --- such a thoughtful touch that really stood out. Overall, Clay Hill Farm delivered an incredible dining experience --- delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, and attentive service. I can't wait to return!
